My Approach

Experience

I work in a creative way and have had a wide variety of

life experience which has given me, among other things,

a very non judgemental attitude.

I offer humanistic counselling which comes from a Person Centred basis, incorporating TA, Existential and Gestalt therapies.

When we look forward or backwards, we realise the events in life remain the same but how you interpret them, feel about them and integrate them changes over time.

Counselling aims to support and help you to discover and understand more about yourself and your situation, to establish you own priorities and find you own solutions.

I am here to help this process rather than provide the answers. I provide a safe, supportive relationship in which you can learn to help yourself and live your life in a more fulfilling way.

After qualifying in 2011, I worked at the YPC Brighton,

Age UK and for the YMCA.

It was a privilege to gain experience at both ends

of the age spectrum.

Working with young people you realise an existential proactive style is needed, where the counselling looks more like a conversation and a collaboration. With older people a more narrative style tends to be appropriate.
